Book 3 in this series just might be better than the first two! We see several familiar faces come back, but those characters don't stay flat. They are rounded out more than have been, so that they become good friends. Several charcters become heroes, but they aren't flawless. Their flaws come through, but they constantly choose what is best for others making them the kinds of people you can look up to.

There are several places that make you feel as if you are in Antarctica. The setting almost becomes a character in it's own right. You never forget where this mission is taking place, which adds another level of realism to the novel.

The ending is sufficiently well wrapped up to let you know justice is done, but with enough loose parts to tease you into believing there might be another Harvey Bennett novel in the future.
