I haven't laughed this much in years! And once again so many geek references that folks in my line of work will understand.

Charlie Stross never disappoints.

‘t Is Dunwich Horror meets James Bond met wat Terry Pratchett erbij!

Bob Howard wordt op missie gestuurd naar een tropische plaats, er zijn casino's en auto's en gadgets, er is een femme fatale en seks en een krankzinnige miljardair en een jacht: ‘t is helemaal een James Bond-verhaal. Oh, en er zijn ook Deep Ones en magie alles, natuurlijk.

Veel beter geschreven dan Atrocity Archive, vond ik. En even fijn om hap-snel-weg te lezen op vakantie.

Good fun read, preferred this to the first one. More action, less talking, deliberately Bondian with slightly askew stereotypes.
Not sure I needed the mini-story at the end, suppose it was a literary palate cleanser.
I hadn't remembered any of the plot despite this being a re-read (old, forgetful brain), did mean I got to enjoy the twists again though!
