Lately books seem to keep finding me at just the right time. I don't believe I would have heard of The Kingdoms of Savannah if a review copy wasn't sent my way by Celadon Books. This was a perfect escape.
First off, before you snag this one, just know it's not a fast read. It's not meant to be. It's chock full of atmosphere, mystery and Savannah's history...a lot of which isn't good. It's meant to be digested and contemplated. I love books like this once in a while.
Aside from the historical portion of this one, there is also a family dynamic at play. One that is dysfunctional on a level that defies logic (at least for me
