I always imagined Death's final kiss would be cold. It wasn't. Four years later, I can still remember the exact shade of his skin: a blue so pale it looked like moonlight. I dream of his touch. Mostly, I paint the man under the heavy cowl, including those perfect lips which ruined mine for anyone else. I'm obsessed with him. The doctors say he's nothing more than a hallucination caused by a mixture of head trauma and emergency pain medications. I think he's a really sexy figment of my imagination. I mean, who besides an artist would dream up the Grim Reaper for their hero? Now, something's changed and my drawings are taking on a life of their own. As if college wasn't hard enough, trying to keep this a secret is going to be impossible. Keeping my sanity might be worse. And that's not the worst of my problems.Death is back. He wants another kiss. And he's not alone. The Kiss of Death is a 156,000 word, full-length novel with NO cliffhanger ending. This is a Reverse Harem series which includes multiple love interests, some m/m themes, and graphic scenes of sex, violence, and language. Be warned: everything you thought you knew about the world, religion, and death will be pulled apart, twisted around, and put back together in ways you will not expect.

This book was awesome! I have been in a funk for a while. I have what I call book ADD, nothing is holding my attention for longer than a half hour. Which if you know me is really weird. This book was a refreshing pace from the typical RH book. It is a slower burn than I usually prefer. However, I think it portrays the female protagonists hesitant nature to break the social norm that at least is more believable than the instant romance. If I would change anything I would enjoy a faster pace of the story line. It does take a bit to get going. Otherwise, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys reverse harem novels.
I had so much fun with this!
What a great start to the series! I really enjoyed getting to know Sienna and puzzling through who she is and what she can do. It didn't hurt that she was accompanied by a sexy legion of demons. I wanted more smexy times but it's just the first book and Sia is just coming around to the idea that demons don't follow the same rules. I so enjoyed the interplay between Nick, Sam, Luke, and Bel. You can feel the history and camaraderie between them. Death is actually a sweetheart. That is a sentence I never thought I would write. Haha! Also there is some great worldbuilding here! Some really lovely fantasy touches that I couldn't get enough of. Loved this one and I look forward to spending more time with these characters!
2.5 stars, just kind of disappointed.
The author tried to pull off a science fiction with some physics and fantasy with some paranormal religious figures hybrid and it made for a very underwhelming story with a lot of info-dumping.
I liked the main love interest (because this is very much slow burn reverse harem) but the protagonist and the rest of the harem were boring and unremarkable. Sam would have been my second favorite as the flamboyant bisexual best friend but he just didn't get enough “screen time” so I had no time to get attached to him.
Overall, just disappointed because execution was really lackluster and the tropes were grating more than anything.
I really, really liked this one. There are a few confusing parts, but the story has me invested.
