Scribbly Gum Island is home to the famous unsolved mystery of the Munro Baby. Sophie Honeywell has been to the island many times and participated in the tours and festivities. When she suddenly inherits the home of Connie Doughty, whose family owns the island and also happens to be an integral part of the Munro Baby mystery, Sophie is sure there is some mistake.

Sophie soon learns it's true and moves onto the island and into the home. While trying to navigate her way around the families living there, she discovers that things are not always as they seem, and mysteries are sometimes a way to protect those we love.

I've only read one book by this author, Nine Perfect Strangers, and I remember how I much I enjoyed it. I have a few of this author's books sitting on my shelf and finally picked one up. I'm glad I did.

This was a fun read! I was laughing a lot and really enjoyed everything about this. I especially loved how even though there is an underlying darkness paralell to the happiness, you are swept up in all aspects of the intertwined stories. The hint of mystery was also enjoyable even though the outcome of that mystery was shrouded in sadness. Will definitely be picking up the other books on my shelf sooner rather than later.
