What an absolutely incredible treasure of a book this is from Jerry Pinkney. As an illustrator, this is his book through and through. With few words, the story is told through incredible pictures that enlighten the imagination. It is my understanding that this book has won awards this year, and easily I can see why. I love this book and my daughter at six months loves to stare at the pictures while I slowly turn the pages. There is so much for her to focus on. I know that this will be a treasure to read as well go along and along in years. I highly recommend this book.
This year's Caldecott winner. No words. Just amazing pictures. Deserved.
