At the end of this piece I have come to a firm belief that Stephen King's books lend themselves very poorly to Graphic Novels. King's style is unique and his stories while good are a small part of the journey that are his books. You either like it or you hate it. Rarely do you take middle ground. An thats why for me Gunslinger: The Man in black fails to reach the heights that was Gunslinger. Everything is there but somehow everything is lacking. It recounts the tale but misses the heart and thus I think its rather time to go back and read the books again than continue down this path. Sad!
