Finding that her sister is beginning to turn into a mermaid, Clara and her best friend O'Neill try to get her sister from their mountaintop cottage to the sea, but run into myriad problems along the way.

An excellent debut. The few twists weren't that hard to guess and Clara's endless self-admonishments get old pretty quickly, but the writing itself was so beautiful that these things are easy to overlook.
I would have given this 3.5 stars...for me it wasn't QUITE a 4, but more than a 3.
