Bought this for sale at 99 cents and enjoyed it just about that much. It was okay, but MC #1 had that cozy mystery annoying habit of putting himself in danger trying to solve a crime that he had no business trying to solve, and I'm not sure why MC #2 was so crazy about him. Plus the bad guy seemed pretty obvious to me.

Comparisons to Josh Lanyon's Adrien English series didn't bother me; in fact I appreciated that the store owner/closeted cop dynamic was “corrected” to make the cop less of a douchebag than he was in Lanyon's books. I also appreciated the sweet, healthy relationship between Sebastian and his father. But there was nothing that stood out enough for me to continue to read more Snow & Winter.
