Reading about the horrors of WWII through this book was eye opening. As an American I know our side of what happened during the war but you forget or never paid attention in High School to what happened in Europe. I knew that France and other countries were invaded and occupied but this book took that meaning to another level. Compelling characters and heroines as well as “feel like you are there” descriptions brought this book to life for me. I'll be thinking about the stories of the brave women resistance and the many ways they fought against their oppressors for years to come.
