[b:The Paddington Treasury 20530952 The Paddington Treasury Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393011988s/20530952.jpg 37653181] not to be confused with [b:Paddington Treasury 13413571 Paddington Treasury Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1326609549s/13413571.jpg 155044] which includes selected outtakes is a delightful reprint of [a:Michael Bond 70993 Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1300303818p2/70993.jpg]'s vintage Paddington illustrated by [a:R. I am not sure how The Padding Treasury compares to [b:The Paddington Treasury for the Very Young. Michael Bond 10389729 The Paddington Treasury for the Very Young. Michael Bond Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1355529112s/10389729.jpg 15293479] or [b:Paddington's London Treasury 10389730 Paddington's London Treasury Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348043106s/10389730.jpg 15293480].The Paddington Treasury (2014) is apparently a collection of picture books held together in one 157 page volume. This book and the picture books included are all reprints from the early 2000s, specially in honor of the release of the new film coming later this year. As our family read aloud, we're currently reading [b:A Bear Called Paddington 20530951 A Bear Called Paddington Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393012058s/20530951.jpg 1544060] where I've found that Paddington appears to be a good example for expressions and thought of a slightly clueless yet anxious to learn youngster. In a status update comment I had said that Paddington appears to be a British George (referring to Curious George) however it is more as if George is an American German (?) Paddington, as Paddington was written at least a decade before George. [b:Paddington 20530953 Paddington Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393012032s/20530953.jpg 1683157]I've found that the picture book Paddington is definitely taken straight from the first chapters of A Bear Called Paddington. What a lovely illustrated version of the beginning of a tale. Paddington is adventurous and curious and might cause his caretakers a headache, but he seems to be loveable too. [b:Paddington in the Garden 22138410 Paddington in the Garden Michael Bond https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1405866223s/22138410.jpg 40430089]This one is a new story to me, but definitely key to Paddington as well in his unique nature. Chaos equaling something new in a surprising and entertaining way. I thoroughly enjoy the illustrations of R.W. Alley and his version of Paddington. He is cute and cuddly and I just want to snatch him off the page to give him a squeeze. I received this product free for the purpose of reviewing it. I received no other compensation for this review.
