This one was another pick from the BoH indie brawl list of contenders and it turned out to be something of a wild card for me since I really wasn't sold on Lennon's writing style based on his entry from last year (A Life to Waste).
I can recognize his gruesome imagery but there's more charm and fun here. The story was snappy, wild, and fast-paced with just the right amount of chaos. The beginning had my blood boiling, and I was immediately hooked, then the authors threw me a curve ball with a scene that almost made me choke trying not to ugly cackle. There's absolutely no down time between the wild things that keep happening and it made for a highly entertaining read.
It's worth the read even if just for the first couple of chapters.
More of a 4.25 than a 4.
