There's a new administration in the White House. But it's the previous First Family who tops an international assassin's hit list.
Michael Keating is a former Navy SEAL -- and a former President of the United States, now relocated to rural New Hampshire after a brave but ill-fated military mission cost him his second term.
All he wants is to sink into anonymity with his family (and his Secret Service detail). But when he's briefed on an imminent threat against his daughter, Keating's SEAL training may prove more essential than all the power, connections, and political acumen he gained as President.

I enjoyed this book more than the last book they wrote. It was good from start to finish. I little bit wordsy at the start but got easier to read quickly. Will be interested to know if they are going to write any further books together.
Really enjoyed this rollercoaster ride. While it was a little formulaic and predictable in parts, this did not affect my enjoyment of the book. I am also keen to read the The President's Missing in the near future.
One minute into this story and I remembered why I enjoy reading books by James Patterson. Of course, having Bill Clinton as co-author is great too. I loved this story. I didn't want to put this one aside. It was engaging from the beginning. It was terrifying and sad and didn't seem like a fourteen hour audiobook. This is a great story to help readers understand what not only a current, but also ex-president has to endure. Yes, they choose that life, but we also need them, and need to make sure we are protecting them. It is also the story about a father's devotion to his child. I'd definitely recommend this book!
