Why?

Because I can't take anymore! I read gay/lesbian romances partially to escape the pervasive sexism in so many straight romances. This book would read just like some of the worst at that if we'd exchange one of the women with the highest-handed, most controlling man I've ever read.

The proverbial straw on this camel's back?

This was all after ‘jokingly' threatening suicide if Starbride didn't join her for dinner, and treating Starbride like a “prize pony” (actual words!) and showing her off to the other courtiers.

I truly cannot take anymore.
