I loved this book. I can't wait to get to the next one. It's like a palace spy movie.
A breath of fresh air and a wonderful tale full of high fantasy staples such as historical legends, palace intrigue, vengeful rivals, secret passages, spies, and magic – with just the right mix of each. Populated with memorable characters, not just cardboard cut-outs, and a rich world. I will be picking up the second novel in the series very soon!
