After listening to some angst filled books lately The Real Thing was such a nice refreshing change. It is sweet, sexy, and endearing. I loved listening to it. It's such a fun mix of some of my favourite tropes; movie star dating an every day girl, brother's best friend, fake relationship, and second chance romance - all the things and it works...so well. These characters are so captivating and I was taken with them and their relationship. I loved their chemistry. Melissa Foster wrote such a wonderful and heartfelt story. John Lane was brilliant, he brought life to these characters and the way he changed his tone for each character making it obvious who was who made for a wonderful listening experience. The production was great with no issues that I noted.
