Perhaps my expectations would have been different if I had read the book description before reading. It has been quite some time since reading something from Grisham, and I expected something more like what I had remembered.

At first I could identify with the characters and I was looking for where the characters get redeemed. I found the characters frustrating, although they were probably realistic for people who have gotten into such a scenario.

One thing I can take away is, it's important to be satisfied with what you have and not try to cheat your way to get what others have. You'll forget who you are in the process.
