Unfortunately this book wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion. It was still a really strong story with fantastic characters and a good plot, but it felt all a bit.... dry. I don't know how to say it differently. It took me a while to get trough the book, just because it was not as good as I expected it to be. I'm happy I've finished it though, because it was worth the time. I enjoyed the ending and I will read book three
Just like the first book, this one was fast-pacing. I really like how Adelina turned, consumed by her greed for power she even casted away her own sister.
When she uses her power to make Teren kills Giulietta I was trembling with excitement! And the scene where Raffael soothes and heals Enzo was heartbreaking. Oddly, their bond interest me more than the ‘romance' between Enzo and Adelina. The latter felt out of place.
I really like Adelina and the Magiano together but honestly, Magiano deserves so much better.
