The Secret Chapter

I don't seek out heist books, but can now confirm a fantasy book with a heist subplot can be a good time. Getting the team together meant an engaging new cast of characters introduced, and the shenanigans Irene and Kai get themselves into and out of continues to be highly diverting. As much as it added to the tension in the background, I was glad that political machinations among and between the dragons, fae and library took somewhat of a back seat for this book. I enjoyed the dive into dragon lore, the direction the end suggests for the next book in the series. 
I am still seriously peeved that Vale has been sidelined, yet again. 🙄
