The Sex Was Great But…

I found this book on the bargain table at Barnes and Noble. For about $5, it was a good fun read. Basically it's a uptown girl, downtown boy plot. Down and out Leo saves celebrity Holly's bag from a would be purse snatcher. She ends up taking him home with her (yeah that's believable!) and she talks him into letting her and her producer make him over for her failing show. They end up having sex while he's staying in her poolhouse during the course of his make over. Neither wants to admit they're falling for the other.

The narrative goes back and forth between Holly and Leo, chapter for chapter. Sometimes it got so frustrating....just say you like him! But Holly could be a shallow character, but I like how she sees through Leo just how shallow her world is. She's redeemable by the end.

All in all, it's a fun read. I tried to finish this while I was on vacation from work. Didn't happen, so I had to keep the cover down at work!
