Brilliant, brilliant book, but that's hardly a surprise when Karin's books always are! If I could give it more than 5*, I would!

Having read some of Karin's previous books, I had high expectations for this book and this definitely lived up to that! I read this on Pigeonhole, so it was a stave a day and can I just say how excruciating the wait was between each stave being released?! I know if I'd had the full book I'd have read it in one go!

It was well written, although the writing was a bit gruesome at times, but that's to be expected with Karin. The details actually help you to really picture the scenes and really allows you to put yourself in the victims shoes (as horrible as it was with this one!).

The current case is linked back to an old case investigated by Jeffrey and his team a few years back and I love how Karin managed to intertwine the two in a way that's easy to follow. The old case is told to us through Jeffrey's perspective, which I know that people who love him and who know his story will be pleased about!

Obviously have to mention Will, Sara and Faith. I love them and it was so good to get lost in their world again!

You can't do a review without giving a shoutout to the wit and dark humor that are a constant feature in Karin's books. Even with the darkness, you'll know there'll be moments from Will, Sara, Faith and even Amanda that will make you laugh!

And lastly, without giving away any spoilers, I loved how this book ended!

I would highly recommend reading this book.

Thank you to Pigeonhole and Karin for the chance to read this book.
