Awesome story. Love the characters relationship as well their personality - really different from one another but perfect together.
The book went through pretty quickly throughout the years which is a part I don't like - for instance, would like to see more of the story during their time with Heron. After the start of their trip, things started to feel a bit dry - not talking about the story but their communication, and the time they spent together. I ship pretty much Patroclus with Briseis and got disappointed by the lack of their relationship development. It would be a nice end to see both of them as a couple. Nevertheless during the Trojan war wasn't a bad part and got really excited when the story got focused on Patroclus time there - when he helped with the medical part in the campus or the time spent in the woods with Briseis.
Wasn't hard to guess what was going to happen at the end, but involved a lot of emotions with the reader when it finally happened - which was represented by Achilles numbness, Briseis madness and the respect which everyone gave to Achilles so he to be able to take his time. It was too unexcepted to see Patroclus that naive and stupid but I guess it could be explained with his emotional character as well his endless love. Achilles acted a bit impulsive after that which was a bit strange for him but provoked by something big as Patroclus's dead so I can understand that (Yes Achilles always acted a bit impulsive but this time it was without boundaries).
Overall I really enjoyed reading the story, it gives the reader a lot about different perspectives from different people as well it delivers about their emotional intelligence which develops in time (Even Thetis developed). To be honest I caught myself missing a few points which if they weren't written I wouldn't be able to get to them.
