The Song of Achilles

When I first finished the book, I thought it was a good story. I might have over-hyped it on my own because of what everyone has been saying about it previously. It was hard to finish the book because it did get to a point of the war where it was just endless reading about the same things over and over again. Also for Patroclus and Achilles to grow up so fast, it felt like they were forever stuck as young boys in terms of their personalities. It was a good read, the tension was strong and it kept me hooked because I just wanted to know what happened in the end. To me, the writing was simple but the descriptions of the era and everything else complemented the story very well.
