I enjoyed this book, but I was also disappointed. I figured “it” out very early on (10-15% in) so the big reveals actually didn't come as a surprise at all.
The Sharon Bolton novels I've read before are crime novels with clever mystery twists to figure out. And I think I made the mistake of expecting something similar when opening this book. The Split is not a crime novel. It's a psychological thriller. And if you've read Bolton before you know she delivers on that account.
So 3.5* for an enjoyable (albeit not very cleverly foreshadowed) read.
