A really good read. Took me a while to get into the story, as it was kinda slow paced for me at first. But by the start/middle of the second part, i.e., Fortune and Fables, the story really started to get to me. One of the stories that I really liked was the one with the innkeeper and the moon, in Fortune and Fables. I also really liked The Ballad of Simon and Eleanor.
I didn't think that I would like the novel as much as I wanted to but when I finished it, it was satisfactory. I mean, it left me kinda wanting more but there was also this feeling of complete-ness. I liked all the characters, though I didn't actually particularly get attached to any. The whole thing about pirate-girl, time-fate, keeper-mirabel was pretty nice too.
The story was very descriptive as in there was more of description than dialogues, and maybe that's why it took me a while to get into the book. But once I got used to the writing style, it was very engaging. At first the stories may seem scattered and the progression of the storyline may be confusing, but the way it all comes together in the end is actually pretty amazing.
I might take it up again and reread becuz I wanna read all those stories again, now that I know how it all ends.
