The Testing

definitely a mix of the hunger games, divergent, and the maze runner but not completely like them which is why i liked it so much! this book is exactly the kind of thing i would have read and rated 5 stars back in 2013 when it was first published, but now that i'm 22 (and not 16.... bleh) i have higher standards for 5 star books.

i read almost the entire thing in one day, and i was thinking about how much i was excited to sit and read it throughout my shift at work, which is normally one of my criteria for a 5 star rating but the character not really having much of a personality brought down the rating. i have the other two books in the trilogy sitting on my shelf begging me to read them.

i will say though, the plot twist at the end really had me shocked.
