The Toaster Project

I liked the idea but there wasn't enough technical details. The description of the process of electrolytic extraction of copper consists of a couple of pictures of plastic jugs.
The discussion of the total lifetime cost of things and the long engineering history
of even simple things is interesting.
But I would have liked much more discussion of how smelting, wire making and such are done.
