The Total Eclipse of Nestor Lopez

Overall, this is an interesting story for kids that highlights the challenges of military families and puts a multilingual Spanish kiddo as the POV character. It also shows the value of teamwork. The animals are snarky; which is fun.

It starts off a little slow and repetitive, but it gets moving.

There is real violence and danger in the last half of the book.
