The Hardy Boys books were some of the first books I read on my own for the pleasure of reading. The characters are not very dynamic and there is no mystery in whether they will solve the case, but there is something about the familiarity that feels good, like an old teddy bear that one never wants to let go of. So, if I'm honest, one star should be attributed to nostalgia. I do look forward to the day I share these adventures with my boy.
