This was boring. Very, very boring.
I'm tired of the “let's make these people the origin of everything”, like theory of relativity or “she sells sea shells”.
There was a doctor called Weltschmerz, and then she talked about what it means, and created situations where she could use the word, even though it doesn't really mean that, and it wasn't really relevant to the story, but - well.
Playing fun with lady Ashton not knowing anything about how children are made, like pregnancy, child birth, the physical part of being a mother... haha, very funny. Not.
Lot of talk about hermit crabs, and none of it in any way interesting or funny.
The funniest part was the Russian tutor playing coral reef :-D That was hilarious!
OK, so to save you from the boring experience of reading this book, this is what happens:
- they go to Brighton, meet a horrible Russian family, and Edward Ashton manages to see they take Penelope with them to Russia as the governess to their children. Apparently he created her work contract and there was a clause of transfer.- Simon and Penelope find out what happened on the island with the admiral - he killed some wolfcubs and their mother put a curse on him. (One half of the family must kill the other half to survive, or everyone dies. Or something.)- Agatha Swanburne was the admiral's daughter, and Penelope and the incorrigibles are her descendants. She finds out there's a fifth one, but not who it is.- Simon and Penelope confess their love to each other- Lady Ashton tries to get rid of the wolfcubs, but Lord Ashton won't let her.
