I used to be an active reader of Heather's blog Dooce.com but I kind of lost track of it as the internet evolved. Anyway, so I have been a longtime fan of her sharp, funny, honest writing style, and this was a great big dose of that, even as she's dealing with a very heavy topic. It felt a bit like I'd skipped a previous volume of this–I understand that she must have had to be very careful writing about her ex for legal reasons, but in some cases that did lead to sort of mysterious holes in the story?

But regardless, this is a great fan for memoir readers and also anyone who has experience with depression and/or is interested in trying to better understand one person's experience with severe depression?
