This book is so fun. It has plenty for the reader to noodle on and plot twists!
The characters are lovely. I especially like the sidekicks - Crusher the giant and Squeezejuice the tiny hairy fairy
Wizards & warriors - tribes that are enemies completely, deep-thinking giants, troublesome sprites, a talking raven, and more fill the story with wonder, adventure, and just a little bit of healthy fear.
It was fun. Really cheesy. Love David Tennant as narrator.
This is a wonderful, magical story.
Xar is a Wizard with no magic. He decides that if he kills a witch, he can steal her magic. But, witches are extinct.
Wish is a Warrior. Warriors hate magic and destroy anything magical that enters their woods.
Their paths collide for a magical adventure.
I loved this. I went back and forth between physical and audio, and both are fantastic. The physical copy has great illustrations. The audiobook is even better. David Tennant is amazing! It was so much fun to listen to because of the narrator, and also hearing the wind whipping, and the explosions. It was great. I will definitely continue on with the series.
My (8-year old) nephew and I listened to the audiobook narrated by David Tennant and absolutely loved this cute and fun tale
