Renata has, it seems, lost everything in her life. Her twin sister. Her dad. Her niece. Even her mom is distant, and her boyfriend is uncertain. Then 9-11 hits and Renata's entire city suffers. Renata unexpectedly finds a child and then another, and gradually begins to learn to deal with the past losses of her life. Very strong writing.
