Sometimes you hear about a book and everything you hear makes you want to read that book – even putting books you have on hold for it. This was one of those books, and let me tell you, everything you've heard...every preparation you've made...it will not be enough to prepare you for the rollercoaster ride that is this book. It's astounding how many twists and turns it has. I laughed, I cursed, I shed some tears, and I swooned. This is the first Meagan Brandy book I've read, I have the others, and I can assure you I'm going to be diving into them because I loved this book so much – it made me react, and I love that. Her writing is wonderful, it's captivating and just drags you kicking and screaming into the world of Blaze and you can't help but fall in love with it. It made me think, it made me mad, it made me swoon, and fall in love. I don't know how I didn't know about her until recently, but I am super glad I found her and cannot wait for more of her words. I read the book in two sittings, and only because with a new baby in the house mama was exhausted – trust me, if I could have stayed awake this book would have been finished in one sitting – it is that hard to put down.

I loved these characters. Trick, Havannah, and Rowan are going to need stories and stat. They were each an interesting addition to the story and really helped to shape the relationship, in their own ways. Alec Daniels, sigh! Swoon! He will make you swoon so hard, he'll also make you so mad that you'll want to throat punch him, whilst kicking him in the nads and throw your Kindle. If you like alpha-arsehole characters, he is your guy. By your, I mean, MINE! He is everything. He does things that will drive you half insane, but, when you find out why it'll all make sense and you'll realise how sweet he truly is. And he'll say things that will make you MELT. Honestly. Oakley Rivera is totally kick-arse, she's strong, she's brave – everything her father knew she could be. I love that although she doesn't have a clue what is going on and the two people that seem to know are cryptic beyond belief, she still manages to handle herself and take care of things. I totally wanna be her friend.

So, when you're not wanting to throw your Kindle, it's probably going to be on fire, because the heat coming from it is going to make it combust. I'm talking OMG type scenes. Get a fan in place, for when you need to cool down – and you will need to. Several of the twists had me asking what the F*** I was reading. Some I figured out, as is the way, but, that doesn't detract from the awesome story, and some really are shocking. I loved that we got to see Alec and Oakley as kids and how their non-friendship started and progressed. It gave a bit of an insight and development that continued through the story. I think doing the book from mainly Oakley's point of view made sense and built the tension because had we known what was in Alec's head, for sure we'd have forgiven him a lot sooner – but, it wouldn't have been as fun. Yeah, fun, erm, let's go with that. (read: all the emotions)
