Never have I ever had such immense dislike for the main characters as much as this. Never. God, the main characters are terribly awful! The story is... like watching a local telenovela on TV, on repeat. It's bloody awful. I hate it. I hate it so much.
For a guy with a name that of a God - Ares, he is pretty obtuse and weak. W.E.A.K. And obtuse. Doesn't matter that he's a billionaire. He's the worst male main character I've ever read. I despise him. His character and personality is like that of a wet cardboard stuck slapped on the wall. Very unlikeable, very irritating.
And this Raven girl. Good God! I feel like stabbing my own eyes with a plastic fork reading about her insecurities, about her self-doubts, how she wallows in an endless bout of self-pity. Every single time that happens, Ares only need to whip out his ‘sword' and all is right again. And we the readers have to suffer it again and again in this book. What the hell is wrong with the author??? Why do you write like this? Why the heroine have to be so spineless, so bloody annoying? Grrrrrrrrr.
This whole book is the repitition of how our little supermodel/business mogul/almost-an-actress/fashion designer pines for the so-called love of her life and when she gets to marry him, she doubts him and her own self. Even after repeatedly being told and confided that he only has his eyes and heart for her. And he needs to fuck her every time to convince her. Mehhhhhhhh.
If I have a physical copy of this book, I'd burn it to cinders. That's how much I fucking hate it.
This was so messy and so spicy. I love Ares so much he was a great character. He was so lovely and wonderful. I stay up all night reading this book.
Although I somewhat enjoyed reading this book I was quite upset with the whole mess it had. Would I read it again? Probably not. Will I still purchase a hard copy? Yes. Would I necessarily recommend it to anyone? Not really.
Momento de honestidad: Es una historia delulu, digna del Wattpad de 2013.
P. S. Como llegué a la resolución de leerme toda la saga, voy a asignarle una canción de Taylor Swift a cada novela para hacer la experiencia lectora más amena.
