The Year of Pleasures

This was the first book I've read by Elizabeth Berg. A light read, but much deeper (I thought) than any “chick lit” or usual family problems sort of novel. I found the characters likable - though the friends, though fairly minor in their roles, were quite Sex and the City of an older generation - and interesting, though I am also certain that the book could have been longer and could have tied up certain story lines.
