Sadly a little disappointed in this collection. The first story I found confusing with the time jumps and the second was forgettable. The third story with the glass was my favorite and the most interesting, and the last one was fun but even still not enough to save the collection for me

eric larocca truly shines in a short story format. his stories always have a way of getting under my skin and living in my head rent free. even if not completely grounded in reality, they always display the truly horrific reality of humanity. the writing is impeccable. the concepts are astounding. and i truly cannot get enough of their work.

thank you to titan books, eric larocca, and netgalley for an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review
Eric LaRocca is just such a talented short story author and everything they write leaves me thinking about it for eternity. My new “what have you done today to deserve your eyes” is glass... literally just slits and glass... I will never stop thinking about it. There was something special about reading this book on vacation when I could have been reading something light and fluffy and instead I was plunged into the worlds of all these characters, leaving me wanting more.
