Three Magic Balloons is a picture book story reminiscent of vintage classics that I enjoy to read again and again to my children, be it bedtime, nap-time, or any story-time. This is the type of picture book that I am glad to reach for again and again. In January, I had the privilege of glimpsing a digital advanced reader copy of this book and I can without a doubt tell you that I would love to add a physical book to our library shelves when this book releases in May!

Paul Margulies, storyteller and father to award winning actress Julianna Margulies and her sisters Rachel Mara Smith and Alexandra Margulies shared more than one tale with his daughters during their childhood. Now, after his death the sisters have discovered a forgotten treasure that has been brought to life in the artistic talents of Grant Schaffer. I cannot imagine how the sisters felt after seeing this story awaken again through these illustrations. Each page was an adventure and a memory I'm sure! Now it is time for this book to grace the lives of your children and make your own memories to look back upon.

I'm putting this one up there with Harold, Make Way for Ducklings; the Flickra, Ricka, Dicka series, and A Lion for Andy. I cannot wait to share this one with my own daughters!
