Recounts the decades-long saga of the New Jersey seaside town plagued by childhood cancers caused by air and water pollution due to the indiscriminate dumping of toxic chemicals.

Really fascinating book about the chemical industry (and textile dyes which I'm weirdly interested in...) and pollution of a NJ city. So much research went into this book! I really appreciated how Fagin explains how cancer clusters are researched, how the dyes were discovered, and like 10 other minute issues that are essential to understanding the situation.
This is great for someone who is interested in the environment and also really, really determined moms. :)
