This book is the third book in Lori's Ultimate Series. I've never been a fan of MMA but I am so in love with this series.

Vanity lured Stack to be her date for Cannon and Yvette's wedding and they also agree to turn that date into a one night stand. Obviously, Vanity wants a lot more than one night with Stack because she's falling in love with him but she also thinks that keeping it casual is her best shot to get Stack to fall in love with her. Little did she know that Stack had set his sights on her since they first met.

The slow building between them in the previous book was really good and, in the beginning of Tough Love, the issues that kept delaying their night together made my expectations sky high! Their chemistry is off the charts and when they finally hook up... it's hot, hot, hot!

Vanity is a complex character with a huge heart, she's independent, smart and she knows what she wants: Stack. When she meets Stack's family, she loves their dynamics even when they're fighting because she lost her family in a tragic way and she longs for that kind of connection. That's one of the reasons why, even though she tries to make Stack believe she wants them to be casual, she can't stay away from his family and can't stop her need to help them solve their differences.

Stack is a sweet guy, he keeps telling Vanity he's no such thing as sweet but the truth is he definitely has a really sweet side! He's a hot alpha fighter, with a good heart, a very strong sense of loyalty (even though he let his jealousy cloud his judgement a few times, especially when it came to Leese and Vanity's friendship) and he's honest with himself because he admits from the start that one night with Vanity might not be enough for him.

There is also a little danger, a few omissions that may change what Stack thinks about Vanity and of course a villain to add a little suspense. Tough Love is my favorite, so far, in this series and I am looking forward (and counting the days!) to Armie's book. I also hope that there's a Leese's book, please Lori, I bet I'm not the only one who wants to know more about Leese!

I recommend the Ultimate Series to anyone who loves MMA fighters, an off the charts chemistry between the main characters and a hot romance that also delivers suspense and a little danger.
