Really like 4.5. This has some of my favorite tropes of a cozy mystery, but it also has some awesome hard core mystery aspects. The primary mystery is just the tip of the iceberg for a historical mystery. I liked all of that. I liked Candy and other characters. I liked the commentary that there is a lot of murders recently.
I did not the timeline of the second mystery. It was hard to wrap my head around when the death happened, when the secrets happened, and when the starting event happened. It made it hard for me to figure out how it all happened.
When the murder was discovered, I didn't remember who it was. So there were a lot of characters and I had trouble keeping them straight.
However, I will be reading more of these. I love the enemy angle too much not to visit again.
