I listened to the audio version of this book, which, given that it's in first person and the voice plays an important role in the story, is a good way to go. The book is highly entertaining, with a quirky narrator who is charming but unreliable. I particularly enjoyed the section where she is imagining the life of her husband's great uncle who migrated from Europe to Madagascar to escape the Nazis. But all the details of the candy business were also fun, as were her struggles with various members of her husband's family. A fun read.
