This book was perfection. I adored the depth we got from both of these characters we saw previously in the series. The trauma that brought these two together in this relationship full of new beginnings, vulnerabilities and oh so much more pain. Gavan was the epitome of morally grey with a soft spot, you could feel the love he had for his family and specifically Eilish. We saw in the previous books the hardships Eilish went through and god damn that was just the tip of iceberg. I connected with Eilish in a way I haven't with any other character of a book which made their happily ever after so much sweeter. Mr Cole has a way of writing tension that when you finally get the 70% mark where they start to act on their feeling, it is so worth it. And I mean plot twist galore, my little heart could barely handle the last 20%. This series will have a special place in my heart with these characters. I can't wait to for castles story AH!!
