First off thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It has been a couple weeks since I finished this book so I am trying to recall all of the feelings I had about it.

For me the pace of this book was extremely slow. There was a couple of scenes that had my heart racing but other than that the build up to the reveal was slow.

Speaking of the build up I thought the build up to the reveal was really well done. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on in this creepy little village. I had some suspects in mind which turned out to be right on point but there was some other people I never suspected. The reveal itself was lackluster to me. To me it had this huge build up to a reveal that just didn't add up to me. The build up was more extreme than it needed to be for the actual reveal.

There is kind of two side stories that has to do with Megan that I feel could have been explored more. They were both glossed over in my opinion and could have definitely been explored more. I know I am being really vague but I don't want to spoil anything.

While I had several issues with this book I really enjoyed it. I was completely sucked into the story that I never wanted to put it down.
