The only reason that I picked up this book was because it was on sale for $5 and the protagonist's name was Courtney. My name is Courtney and I have never read a book where the main character shared my name. I guess I was feeling rather narcissistic at the time, so this hit the spot. Haha

I actually would give this book a personal rating of 4 stars (2 for anybody else looking to read it) because I felt like this was a book that I would have written about me and my boyfriend when I was twelve. I died laughing at the cheesiness of it all. Since it was published in 2007 there were so many pop cultural references that brought me back to the good ol' days - from Britney Spears to that Joe Schmo “reality” tv show.

This novel was pure hormones-gone-wild. If you are in your early teens and would like to see what it's like have been a teen in 2007, or if your name happens to be Courtney, too, give this book a shot. Everybody else should pass.
