The reality-bending, time-warping plot of Ubik is a blast and it's close to the quality of my other favorite PKD books A Scanner Darkly and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

I've realized that speculative / paranoid fiction is my candy – I can't get enough of this genre of books. I had a couple of weeks during the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 where I was struggling to find a book that resonated with me, even DNFing a few... but I'm ready to blast through some books like this for a month or two.
