The story was also very well told, in the way the author managed to put everything together.
And still. I think I'll be the pain in the neck who's gonna say it just didn't speak to me the way I expected. The coming and going of the story, that for many readers was great and explained everyone's reasons, just annoyed me. I saw myself having to reread parts of it to make sure this or that person was alive, or not, and who that other character really was.
So this is it. I think I'm particularly boring these days.
