Brynhild has it all. She is the Heir to the East and everyone respects her from the teachers to her classmates. Stina is her best friend and has her back no matter what. She has two loyal companions in Alija and Heike. Add in her wolf and everything is perfect. She is “perfect”. Then why does she feel slightly “off”.

The world starts to shift slightly with the hiring of a silent Banshee teacher that Bryn cannot seem to stop thinking about. Then a tornado hits the school that destroys everything that Bryn thought about everyone and everything - including herself.

Arizona Tape's “The Valkyrie Games” series kicks off with Valkyrie's Oath (B08176LB5F, 2019) and Brynhild attending The Afterlife Academy in her senior year. She is settling into her role that has been laid out for her by her grandmother and what her duties will entail. Now everyone knows what happens with the road of good intentions (laugh).

Tape throws all that out the window! It starts with the mysterious and intriguing new teacher and let me say “yummy”. This will obviously be a very slow-burn romance. Then we have Bryn and our second cast of characters who Tape does not let us get to affectionate for and maybe with good reason? I do not know and I am not telling.

As this is a novella, I really cannot say much more without giving something away (laugh). Tape starts off this series in a very exciting way and I cannot wait to read more. If you have not already started...get on it!✶✶✶✶
