We Were Never Here

I have to admit, when my library hold for this audiobook came in, I wasn't very excited. I started it because I had it. But wow!

It was a little slow to start. The friendship between Emily and Kristen seemed toxic, co-dependent right from the get go. And I wasn't wrong. As Emily wants to put distance between her and her friend, Kristen becomes more clingy.

I don't want to go into too much because I went into it just knowing the blurb on the book. It's best that way!

But the ending lines are still with me. I finished listening to it before bed. I was unsettled!
