Just five months ago, Valentine O'Dell started working at a very special kind of club - one where you can dance the night away, or live out your greatest fantasy. She's learned to lose herself to her nights, forgetting all her day time woes as she charms every man she meets. It's easy enough to do when she doesn't let her feelings get involved. Then Ari Sharapov walked in and changed everything.Working for his father's law firm has left Ari with very little control over his life, so when he meets Valentine for the first time, he sees a girl who is desperate for someone to take care of her. To take over her. So what he can't get for himself in the day time, he'll simply take for himself at night. But when power struggles lead to real feelings, who's actually controlling whom? Some relationships are better left in the dark.

Stylo Fantome you are so my happy place. I loved this book so much that I don't really have words for it. Valentine O'Dell was your definition of hard-working beautiful girl that does anything she can to make ends meet for her and her grandma. Ari Sharapov is your typical Alpha Male and I am here for it! He is wealthy, cold and determined. He works at a job that he doesn't particularly like to be worthy of taking over his father's law firm - a father he doesn't especially like either. When he meets Valentine, something clicks and he knows he's found the one to fit his needs. However, as time goes on, what appeared cut and dried suddenly begins to blur, and he questions what he's willing to give up to have her. This is one of those books that gets you right in the feels. I was taken with St Valentines personality her family dynamic and her personality that shines in the night. Ari was the Asshat you couldn't hate but you wanted to and in true fashion we are left with our hearts on the floor needing more. I see that people have compared this to the Kane Trilogy and the only thing that would make this like that is if there was another book, Otherwise I think that this book or duet of books has it's own kind of dark sexy magic. Now if you haven't read any of the Kane books please do yourself a favor and read those books. I loved how they were the Ying and Yang of each other's personality. Valentine is sugar and spice at the club and then this down to earth girl with Ari while Ari is this take charge personality but yet doesn't always come across as being comfortable in his own life. I loved this it was one part dark and one part sweet and it left you needing to read book two instantly.
OMG...this guy was such a twatwaffle. The type of asshole you want to nibble on his ear while stabbing him in the dick repeatedly. (lol) So I liked this one. It reminded me a lot of a certain 90s movie. Which was fine beings as it is a favorite movie of mine. The writing was fantastic. It was fairly long, but paced well. The plot was intriguing (I want to work at Caché!!). The sex was plentiful and hot. There is some OW drama in the form of Ari's ex girlfriend. Usually I am not a fan of crazy exes, but it didn't bother me overly much here. I found her crazy (and how Ari handles her) more amusing than annoying. However, I hope she just remains a nuisance in the next book and not something more.
There was a well-rounded cast of intriguing secondary characters (I adore Del). Ari...well Ari is a bit of an acquired taste. The guy was just an entitled asshole most of the time. However, there was also something likable about him under all that douche. (lol) The banter and chemistry between him and Valentine was sizzling and humourous. For me the real star of this book was Valentine herself. I loved this heroine. Strong. Smart. Loving. Feisty. Caring. Not a virgin (yay). She gave Ari a run for his money. I loved her. Last, this ends on a cliffhanger that broke my heart. Ari...Ari...Ari...there better be much groveling in his future. That is all I will say about that!
SAFETY SPOILER Depending on how strict you are with your safety rules you might feel like Ari cheated on his girlfriend. He goes to her apartment to break up with her, but Val is there (they are working on a project together for school). Val leaves and Ari follows her to Caché forgetting to end things with Harper. Ari and Val have sex that night. He then breaks up with Harper the next morning. So technically cheating. But Harper and Ari aren't some great romance. They actually don't even like each other. (lol) We later learn Harper slept around while together with Ari.
